    Hi,

I was wondering which one would be more versatile. Would the ACG/John East be with the filters?

    Thanks

The two are different in design and produces different sounds.
U-retro is a traditional bass, mids, treble design and wouldn't take you as far as what the ACG will take you.
The ACG can radically change your bass tone if you search some threads that explored the possibilities.

However, i must say that the U-retro preamps are very versatile in shaping your tone for any genre while keeping your bass tone.
The ACG might be more fun tho.

PS: Try and be a bit more patient dude. your bumps are less than 6 hrs apart.
