    AP report on Military.com

"Saddam Hussein put these systems in range of our troops and the people of Kuwait, and under U.N. authority, we struck them," said Jim Wilkinson, a Central Command spokesman.

    8 warplanes
    16 bombs

1 Ababil-100 missile launcher, plus command van and resupply vehicles

Civilian men women and children killed = 0

looks like a success to me

That phrase is from military.com not the forum.
So according to you they don't know anything about foreign policy either...

What in the world are you talking about?

    Military.com RUNS THAT FORUM.

    Military.com RUNS THAT FORUM.
They are a private, non-governmental, information website.
I have no idea what they know or don't know about policy. Merely posing the question to the forum member "Is this a Prelude to War?" give no indication of whether they (a private entity) understand policy issues.
Nor does it say anything about whether current actions or policy constitute a "war".

Are you Perry freakin' Mason or something?

What in the world were you talking about in that thread?

You're agitated over the use of the word war in a newsmagazine (not too different from a non-governmental information website I might add), yet you yourself don't mind quoting a website that does exactly the same.
    That's all.
I'm neither Perry Mason nor Ozzy.

My brother-in-law is an F-16 jockey who went somewhere over there a couple of weeks ago (he can't say exactly where).

He sent an email to me saying the close calls they're experiencing at 20,000 ft. from Iraqi ground weapons are bothersome. He can't fire back yet, but it's just a matter of time till those firing those weapons are vapor.

A magazine proposing what's going on is THE US"S WAR WITH IRAQ...and a magazine asking it's members if current actions are A PRELUDE TO WAR are completely different things. I was quoting the Associate Press that was linked through Military.com on an e-mail.

You can try to twist this around and make it look however you want...it doesn't work.

I'd object to anyone calling this a WAR right now. Even more to this being the US's war exclusively if it's a war at all or becomes one.

thanks. The Digital Journalist is a valid source; but I'd argue a bit sensational... Turnley's piece on the unseen gulf war seemed repetitious as a means to provoke an emotion. and it did... it was horrifing.

Sadly that is what war is. and tragicly that's exatcly what Hussien and bin Laden would like to see on main street usa, or maple leaf blvd, Canada. but it also doesn't give reason for that to occur.

without sounding to pithy- that was then, this is now...
