I'd feel guilty buying it. It is a beautiful instrument, though. Actually, it's probaly one of the nicest Thumbs I've ever seen.
Haha, he took the pic of the front of mikes thumb! doesent look like a 96 bolt on to me! :scowl:
And you belive all that crap??
Why shipping without strings??
""Oh! You put the strings that wayy and didnt take it to a tech?? Oh you scewed up! Im sorry the bass was fine before I shipped it!""
it's how Wishnevsky did it!!
Hah, the shipping in total is $130.00...
OK I dont get it......whats wrong wit this sale? You think its a scam?
Basically he says he is selling a 96 bolt on (which he probably is) and hes got front view pics of Mike Flynn's (talkbass member) very nice thumb neck thru 4 string.. and behind pics of a thumb bolt on which is probably 96..
Why that cheezy rat...!?! had me fooled usually scammers dont have that much detail...if he is selling a 96 bolt on is he a scammer or more like a tricker?
How do you know it's that particular one - I mean Warwick must have made thousands of those...?
How do i know its mikes? beleive me the amount of times ive looked at it on his site.
I've met Mike in person several times and I have even had a go at his bass once in Portslade - but I've seen loads of very similar ones in shops.
Still - I can believe what you're saying and I've heard of many occasions recently where people have been defrauded on eBay by criminals not actually owning the goods they are trying to get money for!!
I wouldn't say "stupid kids" - I woudl call "a spade a spade", and say it's fraud or criminal activity!!
Has anybody advised Mike ...?
Ive just looked on his site, and hes changed some of the pics of his warwick, he used to have them exact ones that are on ebay on that auction.
the pattern in the wood is like a fingerprint... pretty damn close match... too close.
Look's like the auction was ended early.
I agree. Same piece of wood. Props to the guys who recognized it in the first place.
Not to mention another pic looks like it's lifted right from BassNW (recognise the bass of the Wall o' Cabinets behind it?)
This was probably a scam from someone hijacking someone else's account.
Scum of the earth if you tell me. That's why I don't use ebay anymore. I have TB, not E-bay. For the record- aside from one of my bag end s15Ds - I purchased my entire rig from info or sellers right here on TB.
Those are exact pictures from his site.
He also advertises 24 frets - his "stolen picture" shows 26
don't know who's bass was in the front pic, but that pic is deffo a thru-neck, no way a bolt on, completly different wood on the front and back as well, they must think all bass player are stupid or blind
