Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Microbass, Feb 8, 2003.

  1. OK, so I'm cleaning up the Grabber tonight.. Looking over her fine curves (as we do ) and then i breathe in her scent (again, as you do ;)) and it smells like PUKE over the pick guard...

So i get to the point to clean inside, take off the guard, it reeks!!! and theres a.. *drum roll*.. dried up cucumber !!

Took me a while, but I got 'er cleaned up inside...
There were hairsm spider webs, lots of little 'bits'.. ugh!

But the car wax soon cleaned her up.. the 'herbal oils' make her smell like orange

So whats the wierdest thing you've found...?
  2. Thats grose and sickening....lol
  3. How did it get in there?......why....did it get in there?
  4. I don't think I want to know... :D

I think it was a bassplaying caterer that was desperate and had to use his bass as a cutting board, only he was in the middle of fixing the wiring on his pups so the cavity was open, and he dropped a cucumber in it while he was cutting the ingredients, and he was ina big hurry cause he had a gig and party to cater that night, so he quick threw the pickguard back on and forgot about the cucumber!!!:D

A friend of mine used to work at a stereo shop in the repair dept. He said that he found a sandwich in someone's speaker (and they swore up and down that they didn't work on it themselves) and a disgusting number of roaches (allegedly of both types) in equipment.

  14. when i got my gibson grabber and opened it up i found 20 bucks inside!
  15. I found a couple wires.
  16. Actually, this sounds like a good idea for a prank. :D

i know a very lousy guitar player who could use a little prank along those lines...

it could work seeing as how i am doing a little pickup changing job for him tomorrow...

im thinking i plant a nice piece of tomato or something in there...

    Gotta have that mojo pickle.

Not really weird, but I opened the battery compartment for my seven-string and there was a paper towel folded up and shoved in there to keep the battery from bouncing around. I kept it :)
