Anyone try laying the cab on its side so that you have two 10s closer to the floor?

I was thinking this might increase the low-end response.

i have been curious about this as well....i dont own one, but it currently is at teh top of my cab gas.

i know demeter made some 3x10 cabs with that configuration, not sure about the sonc difference.

when i used a 2x10 cab i prefered setting it up verticly when playing live as it sounded better and was easier to hear...maybe nick epifani felt the same way when arranging the speakers in his 3x10 as it is often used as a do it all cab that can handle coffee houses or medium to fairly large gigs...also probabaly why he went to the slanted design in his 2x10 and 2x12 cabs....just a thought.

There's PLENTY of low end coming out of my Epi 310UL when in upright position, so I never felt the need to try that setup to get more low end...

Do you guys think the UL310 has more low end than two 1x12 cabs stacked?

if you're talking epifani 1x12's, then no, the pair has more natural lower end.

still, the ul310 is just an awesome cab. much easier to EQ than the larger more burly 4x10 bro, and yet slams w/ more than enough authority. fav cab that i must bring back to my arsenal!

    Little burly gorilla stack!!!!
I'd still like to check out the UL310 cab, but I'll prolly go with the 2 x 112. I think it'll work outside w/PA support.

Dern 4x10 one day!!!! Ooh, maybe a PS410.;)

This is possibly a stupid post, because my experience amounts to 15 minutes on a 310 at the Bass Place.

Anyhow, doesn't this cab have a port in the lower RHS? If so, I would expect the lower freq's to issue forth from there; making the bottom as-designed the proper side to put down.

OK, the line to throw rotten vegetables can form to the left.....
