what do you think: Click! That's a mighty cabinet if I've ever seen one! Actually, I think a lot of thought went into the design...those two drivers on top along with the horn are gonna get your sound up to you while on stage...and the other 6 will project...Hmmm...480 watts handling...400 for the horn...Hmmmm...I dunno. I think $550 is a little steep for another toy that I probably can't carry anyways Thoughts?
I must say it looks like crap IMO. If I gave him 50 bucks for it I would still feel cheated. He sure talks it up though. I would say run far away from that disaster. Yes I know I haven't heard it but I am basing this opinion strictly on looks. And I stand behind my decision
*Triumph The Comic Insulting Dog* It's good...for me to poop on! *Triumph/* Looks kinda cheap to me...
Looks cheap. No design at all. A diagonal piezo horn????? Ewwwww. Cheap grilles. Probably budget speakers. And probably not even bass speakers. Just a wooden box with a lot of speakers in it! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT fall for this!
lol that's what I expecte dyou guys would say. I just wnated to hear it. No fear of me owning it anytime soon. I also beleive that one person could NOT pick that thing up!
i've seen new model (chrome grille) SWR henry the 8x8's go on ebay for around that. and those sound good. jason
I use an Ashdown ABM-Boxter 2x8 + horn cab with the ABM900 amp for most gigs. I just got the ABM-410H, so I think I will start using that. But the 2x8 cab handles lows quite impressively and it sounds really good, avoiding boominess and mud.
i totally agree, but its just not loud enough now, if i had a team of pack mules id get like 10 of em for a 80x8...yeah...thats reasonable... seriously, great cab, but not enough volume to use by itself in my setting. 2 would probably but the mustard in a more standard metal setting, but even then id have my doubts about that in the style i tend to play.
