ultimate fender jazz sound

    I want to meet the fender jazz bass and the ernie ball sound half way.
    Right now I have an american fender jazz delux with active noiseless pick ups.
    my rig is a gallien krueger 1001 with an 8x10 nemesis cab.

    By the way, your pickups aren't active. They're passive. It's your preamp that's active. If you replace the pickups, you need passive ones. I have the same bass and I can't decide if I need to change out the pickups or preamps. Have heard negative things about both.
