    1/2 cup baking soda
    2 table spoons dish soap
    Hydrogen peroxide, 1 bottle.

Mix, lather on dog and self if needed, rinse. Repeat as needed. My damn dog grabbed himself a mouthful of skunk today. Smelled like burning rubber. I was really surprised at how well this worked, much better than the tomato juice soaks I've given dogs in the past.

+1, the baking soda/soap/peroxide mix works better.

Bathing them in tomato juice is funnier, though, 'cos you can roll them in bread crumbs afterwards.

I would think that you might need to be a bit more careful with that combination than with TJ.

  12. Nothing sucks worse than deskunking a dog  One thing I don't miss here in Florida. We have skunks but you hardly ever see them. I've NEVER seen one on my property.

My parents live in the country and their aussie shepherd gets sprayed by skunks occasionally. After dad washes her down with dish soap he usually gives her a good coat of Febreze. :D He says it works really well.
