I love me some Zappa, and the soundtrack to that film is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. The flick however I found to be mere unadulterated masturbation. Big ups for Repo Man. I've yet to see Yellowbeard actually, but I've always meant to.

Try it with a head full of magic mushrooms. Almost as good as Fantasia under the same conditions. It's many, many moons since I saw it and magic mushrooms are strictly for conversation these days, but it was still an interesting experience at the time. I've never seen it otherwise so I can't speak to how it would fare unadulterated by chemical help, but it was Zappa and the music killed and that was good enough for me.

Do yourself a favor and run down a copy of Yellowbeard. It is part python, part cheech & chong, part Madeline Khan and Marty Feldman, and part serious actors proving they also have serious comedic chops, but it's all very very funny.

Reatreat while ya can man... this movie is so pretentious and condescending to its viewers that I'm not even sure the people who wrote it knows whats going on.
