I have a Fender Jazz with an elongated top horn. Would you know where I could find info on this particular bass? It was sold to me new in '96 as an American Standard but I can find no pictures or info on this bass.

    Thanks

Fender made these for a while either in the late 80's or early 90's. They weren't sold in large numbers. I would trip over to the Fender forum and do a search. In the very least, do a search for "Bill Bolton". He's a regular at the Fender forum and an expert on Fender basses. Drop him a mail and he'll help you out.

These jazz basses were made in approx 89 in low numbers. The upper horn was inlongated to offset the 22 fret neck. Now Fender makes a smaller body for the 22 fret (dlx) basses.
