Oh my God no you didn't go there! My very first bass was a semi hollow body Univox violin shaped bass in sunburst. No it did not have a scolled headstock but all the rest was the same. Im talkin 1971 here. Hey Ill make you laugh, Marcus Miller I believe also started on a univox. these were very popular in the early 70's. they even made amp's. I had mine 4 or 5 years and when I was done with it I was able to thump an pop with it till no end, I even played hair by larry Graham for Marcus on it and he was amazed!.

LOL, I just bought one yesterday from a local shop for 50$US. Other than the fact it's missing the neck pickup and the bridge pickup is missing it's cover, it's in excellent shape. It even came with black flat wound strings. Oh yeah, the lower knob had been replaced by a generic plastic volume knob. Mine has the scroll headstock, f-holes, Sunburst finish and the original pickguard.

Now gotta replace the bottom knob and instal new pickups. Any suggestion on any good pickups for this baby?
