is it possible to get one for less than $500 US????

  2. I would think you could get a Cort Curbow fretless for ~$500.

    They are unlined

    yeah,,
    maybe a lot less too.

Contact Greg Curbow at [email protected]
Ask him if he has any in stock, he gaves the best prices on the Cort Curbows.
And he will also offer you to install a custom pickup and electronics and a Curbow Custom Hardshell Case.

    I recommend you contact him.

I think my Ibanez SR400 was somewhere between 400 - 450. One of the main reasons I bought it was because it was unlined.

Or you can make a passive one from a Carvin kit @ $340. Same parts as their "B4", don't know how good it is though.

And the newer design has Bartolini pickups, instead of Mighty Mites.

That pic from Mars must be a closeout or something. I've never seen an Artisan without Barts.

I thought the first Artisan B4FL's I played had Mighty Mites and a 2 band EQ... like the one fred posted. Wenge neck, sweet bass.
