    Looking for some new pedals...
    Really out there spatial effects.
Not looking for subtle. Looking for big. Expansive..or just really left of centre..

EQD Afterneath is all that's really springing to mind..

    Weirder the better
  2. The EQD Dispatch Master would meet your requirements.

It is extremely tweakable and I can get some great tones out of it.

The Mr. Black Downward Spiral is another delay that offers some unique sounds as well.

I have both and each is cool in it's own way.

Lots of great options out there. I'll add the TC Trinity reverb. Also most delay pedals can be tweaked to be over the top reverbs by setting the time short and the feedback long, especially modulatded delays.

A great cheap option is getting a used Ibanez Tonelok DE7. In Echo mode you can get some cool oscillations going. Up to 2600 ms, too.

The Afterneath is the first thing I thought of when I saw your thread title. Its a beautiful sounding pedal. Very awesome

I hear good things about the Caverns2 as well.

I also want to try a TC HOF2 with the MASH tech. Looks like it could be super fun.

Thanks all! Going to try and try them this weekend. Any others I should try out? More boutique options?

Craziest verb in pedal form out there: industrialectric rm-1n. The old blood noise dark star might be great for very ambient washes. I also like the idea behind the dba reverberation machine and Caroline meteore: running verb into gain to create some lo-fi shoegaze noise.

Strymon El Capistan can get pretty weird using the wow/flutter, tape age and endless feedback swells. the latter is great for creating huge noise clouds.

(it's also got a hidden spring reverb function, tho this is more of an extra handy utility than a way of making crazy sounds)

Old Blood Noise Endeavors has two.
    Dark Star and Procession.

Check them out and thank me later ;-)

Meris Mercury7. HUGE and beautiful, yet can get really weird. Check out the Pedals and Effects demo, it show some good weirdness.

Not really weird, but Hungry Robot the Wash operates differently than just running reverb-delay-reverb in series. Great for an ambient wash underneath whatever you play

Get a Zoom MS-70CDR. YOu get clones of some great Eventide Space and Line6 reverbs (as well as all the normal reverb you would ever need) and every kind of delay you can think of. All fullty programmable AND stackable....
Nuclear fallout micro sampled sliced reverb into pitched delay followed by reverse delay? No problem.
