I've been pulling this thing together ... a bass at a time, a penny at a time. I've been looking for a really, REALLY nice bass to be kinda "the cherry on top" of my collection and a few weeks ago, I found it, bought, and this evening when I came home from a (crazy-hectic) biz trip, she was sitting on my doorstep! Peep this ... That, my friends, is a Lakland 55-63. A passive USA with Fralins. I haven't had the chance to really crank it up but the tone is beautiful and the feel is exquisite. I've heard it said many times but I have finally felt it for myself. As nice as the Skylines are, there really is a little "something extra" about the USA models. She makes a nice companion to her little sister, don't you think? Yeah, yeah, I know ... the pictures are crappy. Trust me, the glamor shots are coming!
