  1. There are two different knob layouts. Choose the one you like best. I'm actually indifferent, although I think I slightly favor the first one.

First of all, that looks like a great bass in progress. Don't forget to post pics when it's finished.

Second, I'm partial to the 2nd pic knob layout. To me, it just seems more classy for some reason.

  4. Thanks. It's really looking fantastic! I still have some money to raise before it will be finished, though...:(

That's also what I thought at first, but now I'm not so sure...

  5. i like the 2nd layout because it flows with the shape of the body, it is more aesthetically pleasing where as the first layout interrupts the flow

2nd picture wins. It fits. The diamond layout seems forced. Go with the crescent layout.

  7. Yeah, I'm beginning to favor #2 again precisely for the reasons you mentioned. It doesn't seem to "interfere" with the beautiful grain of the Cocobolo top.

  8. I voted #2..

BTW.. it looks gorgeous from here.. don't you have any more pics???

  9. Not yet. I have some older pics, but they won't show anything you can't already see IMO.

I like #! the best. It's tighter and looks cleaner. I don't think that it all has to flow with the body of the bass.

I like number one. Seems "different" to me. Even if it's not.

i think 2 is much sexier than 1. go 2.

  15. I honestly don't mind..either way the bass is going to be beautiful..

  16. I am #2, one more then #1 so therefore I am better. If you do not pick me #1 will become #-1. So do not make him loose his knobs.

    Err, picture #2. Yep.

I'd definitely go with number 2, looks much more elegant and refined to me than number 1, which you can find on too many basses. It's your call though - no doubt both will be a functional layout, but 2 looks much better in my opinion.

  18. Thanks for the votes everybody! I'm going with #2. It will be a beautiful bass!:) :bassist:
