Upgrade bass

    I'm not ready to upgrade yet, but I have a Ibanez soundgear 190 (from the starter pack). I'll probably upgrade in a few months along with a new amp maybe. Are the affinitys and Squiers worth it? Because that Squier VM Jazz looks really good. So would it be good to get a new bass soon, or should I stick to mine

    The VM Squiers are fantastic, well worth the extra money over the standards and affinities. And you can easily keep one of those for a long time and be happy with it.

    Why not put a jazz pup into the 190?

    Get new stuff, for sure. One thing at a time, maybe a new amp first.
