    So, I'd been thinking about going back to fretless for a while, and had some threads going about ordering a custom Carvin, or maybe a Roscoe Std, but decided to get something as nice as I could get for under $750 before I threw down $1,800 - $2,200. Good thing I did, because I am just not ready to go back to fretless, in terms of skill.

    This bass is a player, and has some small nicks, surface imperfections and a small amount of the tarnish common to black Ibanez bridges. Rounds have been used on this bass, and it shows on the fretboard, but the plane of the board has not been compromised in the least. This bass is in FANTASTIC shape for being a somewhat rare piece. It plays beautifully, sounds fantastic and came set up perfectly. A somewhat rare piece, and easily the best fless you can buy under a grand IMHO. The slightly tighter sting spacing, especially when combined with the ramp, makes super fast and slick playing a real breeze.

    This is the MKII version, and has been upgraded with Bartolini Electronics and Dunlop Straplocks. This really is a incredibly pure sounding Fless.... Bass was set up, restrung and plane-checked by an excellent local tech and the setup is flawless. It really is an awesome bass..... I'm just not ready for it.

    I paid $500 for this bass less than a month ago, it's considerably better now then when I received it, and I would like to recoup $475. Make me ANY fair offer

    Here are some videos to familiarize you with the tone and features of the instrument..... while the bart preamp does in fact change the tone of the bass slightly (that delicious, rich lowmidrange Barts are famous for)... the greatest impact of the upgrade is having a very very linear slope to the EQ when boosting or cutting, and much lower center freq point for the treble control, which lends itself to being much more useful for a fretless IMHO, especially when cutting treble.... it has a much more "Passive Tone Control" feel to it than the factory electronics when cutting.

    VIDEO 2 (This vid also has, IMHO the world record for worst sounding keys tone ever!!)

    As far as TRADES are concerned, I will only consider 4-string trades UP in value with this bass plus cash from me. Looking for modern, aggressive sounding basses with trade value $1500 and up. Brands I dig tend to be;

    - Modulus
    - Lakland
    - Roscoe
    - Sadowsky Metro

    ... but feel free to run anything by me!!

    Super nice bass for the money. Sound is close to Pedulla Buzz for a fraction of $$.
