Up for sale is an upgraded Ibanez SR885LE. The SR885LE is one of the Japanese made Ibanez basses. The original owner of this bass converted it to a wide 4 string setup. I converted it back to a 5 string using an original Ibanez Bridge, a black Gotoh tuner, and a Warwick nut. Gotoh tuners were the original equipment on the bass, but the logo and bushings on the new tuner make it look slightly different from the back of the bass. The bass has no major defects, but does have several cosmetic flaws that I have tried to capture in the photos (a few nicks on back of neck, some buckle wear, slight finish wear on the front of the bass). Nothing excessive for a bass of this age, but this bass is definitely not a closet queen. The bass plays and sounds great. I am selling to make room for an Emerald Balor Bass that I have coming in. Modifications on this bass. - Nordstrand Warm and Wooly Big J Blade Pickups - Nordstrand 2b-4c preamp (Volume with active/passive push pull, blend, +/- 12 db bass and treble stacked controls, and a passive tone control) - Brass Warwick Just-A-Nut - Dunlop Dual Design Strap Locks This sale includes: - SR885LE bass - Ibanez hardshell Case - Italia Leather Strap - Nordstrand NordyMute - GruvGear Fretwrap $450 OBO Paypal only. Price includes shipping in the USA (Lower 48). No Trades.
I have one. *Great* player, original pickups and pre are a bit quiet and tame. Would love one with these mods!!!!
MIJ SR800's are GREAT! First real bass is/was MIJ SR800. Still have her and a '97 model. Original Gotoh bridges for the Ibanez have initial bids/posts for $200 (U.S.). Incredible low profile bridge.
This will be heading to eBay later this week if it does not sell here by then. If you are interested, now is the time to send me a PM.
Bringing this one back. Tried eBay for a week. Decided I wanted to keep it... now I am deciding I want to sell it again. I really just do not play it enough, so it is back up for sale.
Not for sale at the moment, but I go back and forth on it. It might pop up for sale again next time some GAS hits.
