I want to upgrade my practice amp. I don't want to pay more that 300USD and nothin more thatn 20/25Watts. Any suggestions???

  2. For 300 bucks you may as well get in the range of 100W into a 10. There are a number of options at that level that will serve you well. 25W is honestly a waste of money. Do plenty of research and happy hunting.

  3. I don't think 25W is a waste. Especially if he is in the market for a practice amp. I use a little 25W Fender for dorm room practice and it is plenty the situation....

As far as the actual question, I really don't have an answer because I haven't been in the market for strictly practice stuff in awhile so yeah...(if you can find a 25W Fender Bassman, they're pretty decent for practice)

    Here, get this.

    Click.

But spending that much on a 30w practice amp is ridiculous IMHO.

Like wurm said, you can get a great sounding, more powerful amp for less.

    Like these.

    Click.

    And the list goes on.

Yeah, I guess personal preference is exactly that.

A few years ago I bought an SWR LA8 (30w into an 8" speaker) and still think it's a great little practice amp. But I bought it used for about $130 including shipping.

    Personally, I think...well, I previously posted what I think.

You might be able to get one of the Line 6 amps for that much.

It is a guitar amp. I doubt there would be a bass amp using class A el84 power section with rever and tremolo.
