Okay, I'm looking to upgrade from my Jim Deacon Classic (Aria 4 String) to something like a Ibanez SR400, or a 5 string of some sort. I wanna know what 5 strings are good out their, and what to avoid. Price is no problem.
If the type of music I play is gonna be of any help, I mainly play SKA/Punk/Rock.

    Cheers people!

for a 5 string bass, you need a 35 inch scale to have a low B that is worth something! The BTB from Ibanez is a very nice bass. There are others out there with a longer scale length, look around, you might find something very interesting.

don't go for the soundgear sery for a 5, I didn't like the 6 I had... the B has pretty bad...

    good hunting!
