Are there any effects unit that can make an electric bass sound like an upright bass?

On a sidenote, it's just technically impossible to recreate the upright sound with a bass guitar. They're totally different instruments. I've heard several fretted-to-fretless simulators go down hard, when you disobey the rule of plucking separate, single notes.
