Are there any effects unit that can make an electric bass sound like an upright bass?
    Thanks

    Prepared for the ugly truth?

    No.

But you can emulate it to a certain degree with your playing technique, especially on a fretless.

The fingers are more powerful than FX.

  4. I suggest you use studio processors to add effects, but I don't see why you can't use bass guitar effects on a double bass you may have a problem with feedback If you use overdrive.

Take it easy pal, happened to be more often than I can remember...

  9. On a sidenote, it's just technically impossible to recreate the upright sound with a bass guitar. They're totally different instruments. I've heard several fretted-to-fretless simulators go down hard, when you disobey the rule of plucking separate, single notes.
