:help: i'm a little confused. right, a 100w all tube bass amp and 575w mosfet amp. Could some please tell me which would be louder and why. Im really sorry if this is anobvious question but im hearing different things from different people all the time and i just want to set this straight. And what is RMS?

    thank you...

Try searching the forum, there's a lot of threads about this. The general rule seems to be that an SS amp will need about three to four times the power for equivalent volume. That's just because SS amps handle the peaks cleanly, while tube amps don't. My WW Ultra, for example, at 1200 watts, is just about as loud as an SVT through a fridge.
