It's official...I hate you! I saw the ad you placed elsewhere and tried to ignore it..now you have to do this! Seriously though, whats the difference between the basslines and the barts? Also is the string spacing 19mm?

  3. Well, I love you!!! :D

I gues the biggest difference is the Basslines sound more Music Man like or not as "nice" as Barts. They have a lot more of an edge to them and really cut thru. Much much more agressive.
A lot of guys here in Detroit who have played mine like this are either making the switch or have already did it.
The mids are more pronounced. If your looking for a "smooth" or "nice bass, this may not exactly be your thing. Don't get me wrong, these pick-ups IMO are worlds better than the Barts. And I've used it in situations rangeing from jazz to funk to R&B to pop and it really does fit in nice.
It kills at slappity poppity funk BTW! Like a good Music Man, but better!!! :D

And yeah, I think it is 19mm. Isn't much, if any that I can notice different than my Sadowsky's were.

BTW, the bass used to belong to KJung, so throw a PM or something into him for some other opinions. He was the original owner.
  4. How ironic. I have that exact amount saved up for a car. Why are you doing this? Youve just made my decision much more complicated. Thanks alot.

Very nice looking Lakland, sure wish I could grab it.

Just a bump for Mike, and a note that I have owned Skylines with Barts and Basslines, and what he said is absolutely true. The Basslines in Laklands KICK MAJOR BOOTY. Stingray killer for sure.

  7. Sorry for the hijack, but which exact models of Basslines are they?

Gotta give props and a bump for a stunning looking bass. That's what my 55-02 probably wants to be when it grows up. :D :D
  8. Definetly no trades???? :crying:
  9. Ya know, I'm not exactly sure :meh:
    I'll have to find out.

  10. Umm, yeah sorta. You can throw something out there if you would like though.
I guess it doesn't hurt to drop some info.

What is the weight of your Lakland? This is perhaps the classiest looking Lakland I've seen. Yikes! tempting. Very tempting.

Nice. If I didn't already have a 55-02 and just purchase a DJ5 I'd be all over this one.
