Used Avatar Price

    I'm new to Avatar, but I've been reading good things about them here. I'm in the market for a new cab and found a used Avatar Kappa Pro 410 for $325 in good condition. Good price?

    not great... A new neo one will sound as good and be 40% lighter and lands under $500 (last time I looked.) You can snag their neo-2x12 delivered for about that money. $225 would be a great price for a non-neo 4x10. $325 I really couldn't get excited about.

    on the other hand, that cab you're looking at is a nice sounding cab. If you don't mind the weight it would be tough to beat for the dough. It's just that $325 is a little rich for that old school cab ...

    Can't say enough good things about my Neo 2x12; however a 410 will be louder...How are you trying to fit into your band mix? I'm with 2 guitars (3 if the lead singer picks up his electric accoustic) and keyboards - there's not 'room' above 2 khz, so I'm happy with the 2x12's solid bottom.
