Well I was at a local music store and they had a used SWR workingman's 15 there for $350.00. I didn't get to play it becuase I was pressed for time. But the following day I went up to Guitar Center and tried a new one....well I fell in love! The used model seemed to be fine...just a little dusty. But one thing I noticed was this model had a "head" like it was a cab and head in one casing, the new one at GC didn't have this. So what was up with this?? So should I give this used model a chance?
there have been two wm-15s the newer one... http://www.swrsound.com/products/wmseries/wm15.html and the older one... http://64.95.118.51/images/opti/79/...Workingmans_15_Bass_Amplifier1-resized200.gif $350 might be the most you should pay for it, if it works right. try talking them down. if I remember right I like the older wm-15 tone good luck
the older one is lighter (55 lbs) than the newer 70lbs model. both I think are 160watts into the 15 internal speaker read reviews.....(keep in mind some are the new model others are the older model) http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data/SWR/Workingman_s_15-01.html
wow dude i got my used one for the same price on ebay, good deal! go for it, good price and won't have that ebay hassle.
I'll go for it cause this it was either this or a 60 watt peavey. I've read the reviews and the majority of the reviews have been positive.. I'm going to trade in a old guitar and possibly an old bass and maybe I'll get it down to 275 or at least 290 so I don't know yet.
