using a cab with my trace elliot combo.

    hiya, lately ive become concious that my amp won't be loud enough for a not too small gig, its 300W but a combo - 15" speaker. im mostly concerned about the quality, as sound wise it'll suffice.

    anyway, would i be able to use the head, a gp7 i think, to run the speaker its using now aswell as another speaker?

    Its out put is 280W, max 580W.

    Yoshi there should be a place that has an ext. cab out or speaker out on the head... and no you shouldn't have a problem running another extention cab under what you have now.. I suggest maybe a 2x10 cab.. that would compliment your 15' nicely IMO

    i wouldve taken photoes of the heads rear, but i cant find the digital camera.

    Yoshi-check the impedance (back panel/manual.Trace site) if it produces 300w into 4 ohms and the internal speaker is 8ohm you will have to use an 8 ohm cab. I think the combo works as I stated but check (you could damage your amp if you get it wrong).
