Is it dangerous to use a 60 watt marshal guitar amp for a bass?

The amp won't be hurt a bit. If it's a combo, the speakers WILL get blown. If it's a tube amp though, it will sound sweet through some bass cabs with 12" speakers. I use a 60 watt Sunn tube guitar head for bass, and I love the overdrive I get. If it's a solid state Marshall amp, don't bother, because it will probably sound like poo.
