    Hey all,

been thinkin' about using a Mesa 20/20 power amp for my small rig needs. but what about the other low watt, 1U space, guitar tube pre's? i like that tubey flava, but are they suited for bass? would they be able to reproduce enough of the frequencies?

    i say try it joker
    how bad could it be?
i've played thru my guitar player's plexi head into bass cabinets and oh mama...............lol
I dont think it's so much a matter of reproducing the freqencies as much as it is a difference in tone.
Hell, el-34's and 6l6's sound way different from each other so they're not gonna sound like 6550's
