I was just wondering, if you have a power amp and you want to run it in stereo mode, do you need a preamp that has 2 outputs, one for each channel? Also, can you run in stereo mode with different ohms on each channel.

    Thanks

Yes, some preamps have two mono outputs and that's what you'd use. If not, some power amps have a switch so you can parallel the inputs. If not, then you'll need a Y-splitter adapter of some sort.

Sure, you can run each side of the power amp at different impedances, as well as one side without any load at all.
