Does anyone here know if this is a good or a bad idea, the syb 5 manual says not to use anything other than the EV from roland, but the prospect of sending a clock synced lfo to the syb is very, very enticing. I read in the MP 201 manual that it will send CV in unipolar or bipolar mode, my suspicion is that syb would tweak on a negative control voltage resulting in damage to the unit. Can anyone confirm this? I have been looking for technical specs on expression pedal in on the syb 5, but cannot find anything.

The SYB5 does not accept CV as far as I'm aware... I would concerned about frying it!

I think it takes a passive expression pedal like 99% of other units...
