Anyone doing this on a regular basis? Any problems noted?
Bx-500 is rated for 2.
Of course I'm referring to those rated for two ohms.
Used a B800 with two 4 ohm 210's with absolutely no issues ... Even outdoors in hot weather
Used my BX500 with 2 BRX10.2neo cabs for about a year till I got the BX1500. Worked fine.
Thanks for the info. Just got a BX700 in a trade and might use two 4 ohm cabs.
... just a heads up, you may want to make sure you plan on keeping the head before you invest in 4 ohm cabs (if planning to buy)... when I had my Carvin, I also had a Yamaha BBT500H, also 2 ohm capable, so I had no problem with all 4 ohm cabs .. when I changed and went with GK heads, I was kind of limited with all 4 ohm cabs ... now, all I own/buy are 8 ohm cabs, as not to find my self in that position again ... JMHO
I got a trade for the BX700 and a 4 ohm BX15.3 (15"/8"/Tweeter) and I have someone who wants to trade me another 4 ohm BX15.3.
Welll I made the second trade and a second BX15.3 is on the way.
I have run all of my Carvin amps at 2Ω fairly regularly. They have all performed without fault.
Heard some good things about that cab, despite the somewhat bulky nature of it. I'd be surprised if you need more than one in any but extreme circumstances. Please comeback after you've spent time with the new rig.
Waiting on the shipping info from Carvin
I used a B800 for years and now I use a BX500, both at 2ohms. Never a problem for either one.
used a b1500 and 2 810Es for years and outdoors in phoenix summers not even a hiccup.
