Does anybody here use prerecorded sound bites/effects in there songs, I think they're called samples? I'm talking about the type of stuff that Rob Zombie throws in for intros or like the battle sounds that Metallica uses before One. What kind of program and/or equipment do I need to mix stuff like this together?

Sound effects are just audio like recording an instrument so just import them to a audio track.

OK, so if I import them in I can mix them with Raptor? That simple huh?

I've never used Raptor but if like most DAW's you can import audio to a track. Have to check if the sample file is in a format Raptor supports your Raptor doc should cover importing audio.

Yeah, I just started playing with Raptor. I know it supports wav files since that's the format my Zoom records in.

  6. I load a VST Sampler and assign the sound effects to midi notes.
