V-4 Vs. SVP

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Rimas, May 11, 2002.

  1. Aight.
How does the ampeg svp-pro relate sound-wise to the vintage svt's and say a v-4. They both cost about the same on Ebay, and I really want an all tube ampeg, but at the same time, Im not so sure Id want the hassle and the weight of tubes if i could get the sound out of 10 pounds of pre amp.

i would go for the svt
  3. I would go for the V4b. 100 watt all tube head (enough for me...), but not as heavy as the SVT...
