I hate to do this, but I must. I'm allowed to have basses, but not allowed to just keep buying without selling. The limit has been reached....again!
This bass is a short-scale ( 30") POWERHOUSE. The bass was made in 2018, and I bought it new from Japan. I've tried different strings on the bass, but this week I put DR High Beams on, and those strings were meant for this bass. The condition of the bass is excellent, nearly mint. It's set up perfect if you like low action, and it comes with the original and new condition Atelier Z gig bag. I changed the tone-stack knobs to Fender Jazz Bass knobs because my fat fingers were having trouble working the original knobs independently. The originals will be in the bag. Since the day it arrived to me, the bass has only been in my home studio, AKA "the extra bedroom". I am primarily a keyboard player, so the basses I do have are for the few times I think a REAL BASS is needed on a recording. I also just like looking at guitars and basses. Much sexier than computers.

If I may interject concerning what these basses are all about, I would say "modern". It sounds similar to all of the high-end, modern, active basses you hear, particularly the Japanese boutique makers. In other words, it would not be the perfect bass if one were primarily interested in a passive "vintage" sounding Jazz Bass, however, in passive-mode, it gets you close enough for most.

Price is $1,300 including shipping CONUS only.

Indeed.....I suppose I could have mentioned more about the body shape, but I figured for most it would be apparent. :bassist:

I own a 2016 in the same color and in similar condition-this is a beast for a short scale! The punch is remarkable as is the balance and feel of the instrument, coupled with one of the most comfortable necks I have ever played with a fine satin finish! If you are a short fan or in the market for a high quality boutique build, buy this bass! The price is very reasonable for the condition of this instrument as well, the Japanese shipping alone took me over 6 weeks when I bought mine. The craftsmanship is amazing and the quality of materials is second to none, GLWTS lala!

Buy with confidence here. One of the nicest Tbr’s I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with. And a fantastic packer! And Atelier-Z’s rock!
