I've located an early eighties G&L L2000. Old style electronics (with the small plate) and old style headstock. Blue finish, Maple fretboard. This thing is pretty beat. Tons of scratches and chips in the finish.

Anybody know what a fair price for this would be?

Basspalace has them in stock pretty often. Usually they are about $700 or so. If it's beat up probably less. I think their website is down for the summer.I played one in high school and their heavy weight has an effect on their resale value. Added to that the newer ones are just better. You might just want to slowly restore it - I think it will be worth more in 10 years. By the way, my 1982 L-2000 was purchased by me for $600 in 1982.
  3. heres an 1981 model i found on aussie ebay - its in fair shape for ita age and going for a reasonable price BIN is about US$930. hope this helps - BTW its not mine and i dont know who is selling it just passing on the info.
