Hey guys, I received a hand-me-down P-bass a few years ago, and I am thinking about selling it (the sound just doesn't fit the type of music I play, plus I prefer 5-strings.) I can't tell whether it was made in Japan or America, but given it's an "E-series" (E322XXX), I figured it's one of those two places. Anyhow, just trying to get some idea on the market's a quick pic...I'll take more detailed picks once I've decided to sell it for sure. No nicks or scratches on the body or neck.

  2. japan most likely. 400-500$ just depends, im no expert

  4. thats a pretty nifty link
  5. Looking at the bridge in the picture, it's US. It does not say where it's made anywhere on the bass?

Aha, it says "Made in USA" in tiny letters on the headstock. :bag:

I had to put on my glasses to notice that.

Thanks for the link. This is what I got:

Your guitar was made at the
Fullerton Plant (Fender - CBS Era), USA
    in the Year(s): 1982 - 1985

    Look up "Precision Elite"

your bass is early 80's, probably 83-ish

That is a US made Precision Elite I. Ballpark, with case, $900 -$1200.

I'd price that bass between $650 - $850. Elite I's rarely sell for over $900.

Thanks, y'all. I do still have the original Fender case as well.
