There doesn't seem to be a section on the board for music (vs. tab) but it appears that this Tablature section is where most sheet music questions end up and I will post here. Admins, feel free to relocate this thread.

There is a series of books published by Alfred called Value Songbooks. They are collections (Early Rock, Classic Rock, Show Tunes, Standards, etc.) of sheet music with "Piano/Vocal/Chords." The one book I have seen in a store had a bass part (likely for piano left hand) written out.

Has anyone here used these books and, specifically, the bass parts to learn songs? If so, how useful were the bass lines?
