I used Rotosound 66LD's for a long time, but I was wonder how their other sets sound. The bronze, black coated, nickel, etc..

The 55 LDs sound great. I use them on my Warwick Corvette fretless. The original Warwick roundwound strings were chewing up the fingerboard and flatwounds sound like crap. The Rotos brought back the growl.

The only ones I haven't tried are the Bronze acoustic set.
Rotosound makes a string for just about every application
and they're all superb. I mostly play the stainless 66's and
the Solo Bass 55's compression wounds. I'll occasionally
use the flats, which are very bright, for Blues, and the
Tapewounds for Jazz. Rotosound is a great company that
really cares about their customers, famous or not.
