If I had about $1000 more in my budget...

Does it sound upright-bass-ish or like a different beast altogether?

I tend to play it with mostly the peizo pup and I've got it strung with Chromes with high action, so it has an upright vibe, especially with a lot of midrange scoop. But with different strings, lower action and more of the mag pup blended in, it tends in the classic mid-rangey Jaco sound. It's got quite a range of tones, I've found, although I stick mainly with one tone for jazz.

Thanks. It's a beautiful bass, and I hope it finds a good home with an appreciative owner!

  10. This is the first Veillette I've seen listed in years! Guys just don't let these go. Someone give this baby a good home.
