Someone offered me one of these for trade for an amp I'm trying to sell.

    Anyone know anything about them?
  2. Great bass, don't even think twice about it. I had one I got in the 80's killer bass. If the one your looking at has EMG's and the paint is stripped off that was mine. :) Think high end in the day it was barely a step below Alembic, neck through and all great tone.
If I were playing 4's still I would have never gotten rid of that bass. Oh yeah also there's poly on the neck if it was mine, and no official back plate either. I traded mine away for a Lexicon Vortex, had I known they would be worth nothing in the future..... ;) I still have and like the vortex though.

Viellette Citron was the collaboration between Joe Viellette and Harvey Citron (who both make absolutely beautiful instruments on their own today).

I remember having the chance to play a fantastic 8 string (octave) bass they did in the 80's.

The 80s VCs may not be big investment pieces but they sure play well.
