Versatile Amp!

Hi everyone, I will apologise in advance in case this has already been discussed elsewhere, but, I am looking to buy my second amp. (I have an Ashdown EB12 combo at the mo). I dont think I need much power because I dont gig at the moment (work/time ).
However I am looking for an amp thet will handle my six & four strings and ideally give a good range of tones, ie vintage, modern, slap etc.
I come from a guitar background, and am used to channel switching amps, which I havent seen much of in the bass world, but please correct me there, if they do exist. As far as budget goes, I am in the UK, so about £600, I am willing to buy used also. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yeah, can get line6 stuff, have heard some conflicting views regarding its quality though.
