Yes Mr. Garcia, but what of its tone? Playabilty? For the price, if it sounded good, it'd be a great value buy.. It just looks too bad ass not to be interested.

That bass would be perfect for a nice traditional three piece jazz ensemble...

They advertise often in Bass Player.

Also, that bridge, aside from lookin' all cool and firey, is supposed to enhance sustain by contacting that much of the body...I think that's what I read somewhere.

  9. +1

I've read that the bridge is all one piece, and therefore massive, which increases sustain. Anyway, when these first came around I was in love as far as looks go. I'm not so sure anymore, but I would like to try one. :hyper:

  10. They reviewed one a few months back in Bass Player.

Search the Bass Player website.. They usually have reprints of gear reviews up there.

Those Trabens look pretty different, which is a hard thing to do these days. They are made (I guess the correct term would be contracted) by the same company that makes (distributes) Michael Kelly and OLP.

They also have a U.S. custom shop.

I can't speak to the fit and finish, but I will say that they have one of the most responsive customer service departments I've ever dealt with, and that is a huge plus in my book.

I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
They also make one with a giant sun-shaped bridge.

I'm sorry, but I hate the looks of those things. WAY too gaudy for my tastes. They probably should have been released in the 80s.

congrats! if that 5 string was a 34" scale I'd hit it in a heartbeat! The wife saw them in my BP mag and instantly said "Ohhh, you can get that one...... for me!"
