I thought this was very cool, and it has 4 strings!
Ha! Nice find!
Dude needs to find a monster bassist and a drummer that plays synth drums on a modified guitar type synth controller, that's what he needs to do...that would be very unique...er...uh...
...oh yeah....been done with the banjo!
...dude is a real virtuoso, how far that will get him with his instrument of choice is unknown, but he's obviously exceptionally talented.
ive seen that vid before, i love how he plays it
Superb! What a musician. Thanks very much for posting that, it's made my day. Wonderful stuff.
Wow, that was awesome!
Tiny Tim and Don Ho got nuth'n on him.
Damn, that guy is GOOD!! Give him a classical guitar and I'd be even more impressed.
I think it's actually more impressive that he can do that on a uke!
I agree, I bet its a lot harder on a Uke than it would be a 6-string guitar. And cooler to boot
That kid is incredible! seemed kind of humble at the end - I like that.
You can tell by his movements that he is a very talented individual.
His name is Jake Shimabukuro and yes, he is all of these things-
-an awesome player
-very humble and nice guy
-yes, he can play classical guitar
-(for Gard)he has played with Bela Fleck(he is on Little Worlds? whatever the double album is called)
-His band is currently Dean Taba on Bass and Noel Okimoto on Drums (and if you dont know who they are, find out!!)
ah well, enough gushing....
Jake's website for those that are interested:
Outstanding musician/individual indeed.
I've met few guitarists like that here. I really love that quality in a guitarist (or most people). Plus usually they end up to be very very good guitarist. So +1
That guy is good; if he ever gets a band going I want to be his bassist. Seems like a very fun guy to jam with.
