I also have a P-Bass in CAR, and I'm not crazy about the stock white pg.

I was thinking tort or white pearl for mine...

 

I voted tort.

Find a relic'd tort guard. That would look very classy. Also, Scott from Scotts bass lessons has been really lighting his Nate Pbass up of late. Def check him out.

 

I think a black PG looks best on CAR, but I also prefer a maple fretboard with that color, so keep the black PG and swap out the neck!

Vintage white, vintage white pearloid (looks great on CAR), but I voted mint for the choices you offered.

 

Mint, black, or ano gold.

 

If the fingerboard is maple , black guard is really sexy !!!

For rosewood fingerboard, i personally prefer 3plys Mint green , 4plys Tort , 3plys Pearl white and Single ply pacthment.

My CAR PBass looks great with mint.

 

I bought a Lakland JO4 CAR with a mint pickguard. I couldn't get that pickguard off fast enough. It does not go with CAR at all IMO. I put on a white pearl, then later black. I have another CAR Lakland now and it has a white one. All three look better than cream or mint on CAR IMO. I voted stay with black.
