How do I go about "tightening up" or making a volume knob less easy to turn, so it's more on par with the friction of the other knobs? My volume knob is so loose, I think gravity might affect it!

  2. my advice is to replace the pot, sounds like it might be on its last leg, but maybe a more versed builder will stop by and give their 2 cents.

Are you sure it's not just a loose knob?

Yea, tightened it all the way.

  5. I made the mistake of spraying deoxit (spelling?) in the pots of one of my basses. It lubed it up so much that they have no friction now. Don't know what to do either.

  6. Take off the knob and put a small rubber wahser on the pot shaft, pot the knob back on, forcing the washer down into contact with the body of the guitar. That should bring back a bit of resistance.
