Low price too... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7384887613
I love that body shape.
That one was sold by Bunnybass in '03. It must have an interesting story to tell that it ended up with someone who thinks the preamp is a distortion.
Holy crap . . .
Can we PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE stop saying "the bay" instead of "ebay?" I HATE "the bay."
:scowl: :scowl: :scowl:
Makes me wonder if the preamp somehow got fried, and now using the active EQ sounds like turning on distortion.
...or more probably, change the battery?
If I had the money right now, it would be mine! (it's my favourite looking Nordie)
Someone else posted a link to this auction. Yes, a fine bass indeed.
Well, I am sure everyone here who says "the bay" is extremely sorry for upsetting you.
Now that's funny. I prefer to all it "the dark scary place..."
What do these usually sell for new?
Better than "EVIL BAY" anyway, no?
NJ Deluxe 5 starts at $2450, plus any options. Not sure if that is an extra deluxe top. Looks like a high gloss finish, which is also an upcharge.
Bear in mind, this is using the price list on Carey's website. It has not been updated since 4/27/05, so there may be some changes.
Somebody is going to get a great deal.
I am heartly sorry for upsetting you, and I promise to NEVER... EVER use the term "the bay" again. While I am here, are there any other pet peeves I should be aware of?
One of my peeves is when people go out of their way to go off topic and complain about the terminology, nicknames, or slang people use in their post.
I would love to be in a position to bid on that thing, but my wife would kill me until I was dead.
AJ--we'll let your slang slide this time, just don't let it happen again.
i'll bet there's nothing wrong with that preamp, but some newbie turned the mid-range knob up all the way (through a 10 watt practice amp) and said, "wow! distortion!"
wow... I too have a bass with built in distortion... then, I put a battery in it and voila! No distortion.
Yep. There's nothing wrong with ebay. If you're smart about it, you almost certainly won't get screwed.
well, where's the fun in that???
Man is that cheap.
