Very Pink Peavey

  1. :hyper:

I needs me some '80s spandex :bassist:

My T-40 has been in a strange mood since this one arrived. I'm really diggin this B-90. Unlike my other old USA Peavey's it's very light!! The the neck is slim and easy to play. Overall it has a great feel and is effortless to play. The only thing I don't care for is the Peavey active pickups and electronics. I'm probably going to replace them with a Villex passive system. I'm very confident in this bass and have no worries about dropping another $300 into it.

The stock trussrod cover was boogered so I had my Son get creative with some titanium

    Put your shades on .............................

Woah. That's not pink, that's Pank.

Now the Titanium is a remedy for neck dive, right?

  7. Yes, I also pumped helium into the trussrod cavity :p

  8. Perfect for a Pepto Bismol commercial.

  9. I should stick a Pepto label on the back :)

I've wanted one of those in that exact shade for a long time. One of these days...

  17. I could have bought a black one locally but I went for pink instead. It's not nearly as bright indoors. :hyper:

The more I play it the more I like it. The neck has an almost textured clear coat. I usually prefer bare necks but this has a similar feel and not at all sticky.

When put the new pickups in it, I'll level the check/level and polish the frets and get rid of the microtilt adjustment :spit:

  20. Man that thing is simply magical to look at.. oh, and your son is an tech/artist with making that truss rod cover as proof! Way kool on the whole 'pink' thing actually.. :)

Have ya thought about DiMarzios for a pickup upgrade? I've been hearing some pretty great things about those.
