This bass is HEAVY! (9.6 lbs) It feels great and sounds insane. It has a HUGE GROWLY SOUND, but not boomy. Lots of mids. Perfect for metal. This is the exact same model bass that Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) used to record The Trooper and Run To The Hills. He also showcased the bass in the videos for these songs. His was black, but the same model. Great sound! Anyhow, it took months to research, source and buy all the parts, refinish and rebuild ... without killing all the dents and gouges that make this bass so dang cool. It’s a true survivor with a proud rock and roll past. A real Road Worn Relic. This bass has many hours of labour in its restoration including over $750 in parts. These basses were $490 US new back in 1981. Good luck finding another one now. They’re extremely rare.
