Their other pedals have that ring you can put on as an expression control- I wonder if the distortion has that option as well.
I've been speaking to the Source Audio folks the past couple days, and this edition, along with the basic MWBD is slated to be released in September.
When Vic speaks, he makes sucking noises like he's eating a lozenge or chewing gum. I wish people would be more aware of that when they speak...it's pretty irritating to hear all the sucking and smacking noises.
Jimmy, You're worried about the mans speaking habits? Have you seen his chompers? That's why all the noise. If I could play like that I wouldn't care if it sounded like i was s&^tt*ng when I talked. God Bless, Ray
I don't know you personally, but I wish I did!!! LOLOLOL!! Only you would make that kind of comment. Alternative view, FTW!!
LOL! I realize it gets a little nitpicky, but it really does irritate me. I listen to Howard Stern, and Howard's really getting bad about those noises, and it makes me cringe every time. Mouth noises are a huge pet peeve of mine. I know I make them sometimes as well, but I try really hard not to do them, and I'm always amazed that people aren't aware when they do them.
I thought he did a good job...he didn't become the man for narrating anyway. Refreshing to see what someone actually uses instead of some of these other guys who tape or blackout their effects so we can't see what they are.
vic uses hartke, but guys around here who play to audiences 1/30th the size of his, cant live without begantino and the like.. wild.
That was pretty cool. That Source Audio pedal is definitely intriguing, although something I really wish I didn't see just so I can not have in the back of my mind until its released. But EQ-selected distortion? Tiiiggghhhtttt
For the record, when Victor and Anthony tried the Bergantino cabs, they both agreed that they were the best cabs they had ever heard. The only reason they don't both use them commercially is that they could not get an endorsement deal from Jim/backline support the world round, which is crucial to them. Also, just to ponder your phrase for a second and still be relevant to this subforum, "Chris W uses Digitech BSWs and a Big Muff, but guys around here who play to audiences 1/30th the size of his can't live without boutique fuzzes and filters and suboctaves and the like.. wild." Wanna think about that for a second? It's not about who uses what gear, it is what sounds right to YOUR ears that matters.
For what it's worth those sucking sounds could be a number of things including Altoids, false teeth, overactive saliva glands, eccessive drooling, chips and salsa......... peace Capt Kirk
