Vic's Keys.

    has anyone seen the strange tuning keys on victor wooten's yinyang four? :confused: i really like them, but cant get some if i dont know who manufactures them. if anyone has any clues, that would be a great help.

    Do you mean these?

    They are Gary Willis keys off of one of his Ibanez sig basses. maybe he bought a ibanez sig and took them off but it is more likely that he called ibanez and had them send him a set.

    They are just the key ends.....and as F-less Bob said, the same as on the Gary Willis sig bass. Vic recieved those keys from Gary himself. The rest of the tuning machine, etc is the stock Fodera/Schaller.

  6. You used to be able to buy sets directly from Gary, but I don't see any indication on his site anymore - it might be worth dropping him a quick, polite line if you're really interested.

    I always thought it was a nice idea, and wonered why no company marketed them.

    You can get them from an Ibanez dealer.

    Part #2MH1GWB23B. That's a set of 2L and 3R keys.

    They're standard Gotoh tuners with fancy heads, so you can have a Hipshot for them.
